Visited Saffron on the recommendation of colleagues. It was an excellent choice. We selected both the vegetarian and non-vegetarian set menus and agreed this was a great way to sample the dishes. The kitchen has an open plan area where you can see the dough and the coated skewers going into large tandoors. The food that comes out is fabulous - skilfully spiced and full of fresh baked flavour. Fish, soy and chicken starters were the stars. Service is professional and discrete. A well known singer performed while we ate. Mostly it added to the ambience, although it could be a little loud at times.
Was my first visit to their Indian Restaurant. Ambience is good and the seating too. The live music was a plus with the singers giving a real feel to the retro songs.
Food taste was very good to say. The chatpate paneer tikke is a must try in starters along with mewe ke kofte in mains.
The menu is not very expansive for the vegetarians, with limited 2 options for soups, 4 to 5 options for starters and only 6 to 7 for Mains.
Service really is a department where they need to improve upon. The dishes weren't replaced after serving the starters and soup, though I feel they should have been. After being told they replaced the plates but the cutlery was gone along with the side plates. It being a pure authentic Indian restaurant, they should serve the table condiments, which were done only on request.
In my opinion, a restaurant inside a 5 star property should look after the finer aspects of servicing and make the customer feel their hospitality, which was lacking on many fronts.
Overall a good visit with family and enjoyed the evening with Music.
One of the best experiences!! Had a dinner at Jw Marriott the Brew house / coffe shop restaurant. Wonderful food. And the staff is very courteous and polite. Great service. We are came for specials celebrating..
